The Vice President of Human Resources will lead the development of and drive the field HR strategy to positively impact business performance and support the strategic direction of the Company.This position will serve as an HR leader and advisor to the field leadership team while overseeing the policies, programs and services provided by HR. This position will lead and leverage a team of human resource professionals with a goal of earning a high level of credibility as an effective advisor in solving issues while championing and fostering a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission of the Company.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
8-10 years leading an HR function in a multi-unit, multi-state environment
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
Previous retail experience
Understand how to work in matrixed model
Experience with a distributed workforce
Functional knowledge in all areas of HR
A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
An energetic, forward thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a strong leadership presence
A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player and genuinely puts the organization goals before personal ones
An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills
An excellent facilitator who is experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties in a dispute
An individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective

Essential Job Functions:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s human resource function in the field
Manage a team of HR professionals who provide human resources support to the field
Participate in the development and execution of the Company’s strategic plan as a business partner, with special emphasis on the impact on people and culture
In partnership with the Senior HR Team, work to translate the Company’s strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans
Execute positive associate relations programs that drive associate engagement
Manage process for completing investigations and responding to associate complaints
Manage execution of HR compliance initiatives
Provide feedback from field to Senior HR Team with the goal of program/process improvement
Support and implement appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the associates of Floor & Decor
Manage the budget for the field HR team
Provide continuous improvement around all programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization
Evaluate the organizational structure for the field HR team for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth
Working Conditions (travel & environment)Moderate travel required including air and car
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
