Treasury Systems Manager

Purpose

This position supports the success of all Treasury initiatives, with a primary focus on implementation and configuration of Treasury systems and management of Treasury projects. Due to the enterprise nature of Treasury, this role requires significant and effective partnership with a variety of internal teams such as IT, eCommerce, Credit, AP and Accounting.  The goal of this role is to drive overall company excellence by analyzing the present-state of Treasury processes and systems, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation of new technologies and processes as required.  Additionally, the Manager of Treasury Systems will work with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure that projects driven by their teams consider relevant impacts and outcomes, are implemented in a way that enables proper reconciliation and auditing of receivables and are tested thoroughly.  Further, this role will act as a configurator or administrator to current and future Treasury systems.  As a vital member of the overall Treasury organization, the Manager of Treasury Systems will work with Treasury leadership to influence the strategic direction of future initiatives as well as communicating progress, issues, and risks of current initiatives.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field
  • Three - five years of experience in Finance, Accounting or another relevant field
  • Affinity for systems thinking with experience in project management, integrations and implementations
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles and basic knowledge of consumer payments – retail experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Naturally curious self-starter with strong desire to succeed and affinity for continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions independently and proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to lead/facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders/support partners
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent planning and work prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be results oriented, work well under pressure, and demonstrate a sense of urgency with the ability to think creatively and strategically while handling difficult and complex issues
  • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and communicate in a clear, concise manner including the ability to effectively communicate complex and/or technical information in a way that is easy for others to understand
  • Must pass pre-employment background check

Essential Functions

  • Lead/participate in all projects impacting Treasury functions and systems, including enhancements and system upgrades sponsored by other departments
  • Partner with representatives across Treasury and other departments to develop thoughtful and action-oriented projects which will enable enhanced efficiency for Treasury staff, and lead those projects through all phases of project delivery including defining requirements, design, testing and implementation
  • Set, manage, and effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion
  • Facilitate relevant software and vendor relationships
  • Propose to IT and lead efforts around enhancement request and bug fixes needed to improve Treasury processes, make accounting reconciliations more accurate, or improve associate and customer experiences
  • Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to the strategic initiatives and operational models of Treasury and of the company as a whole
  • Identify and document business requirements, process flows, design and other deliverables as needed for ongoing and future projects and as needed by the Treasury team and other internal or vendor teams
  • Provide support and training for all relevant projects and systems as needed
  • Assist Treasury staff as needed by providing product implementation expertise or by reconfiguring Treasury systems to better suit the needs of the team
  • Attend meetings and training as required to continue development and to enhance knowledge of Treasury and company systems, processes and technologies
  • Support internal and external audit processes as needed to comply with SOX requirements, to include preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual audit work papers and responses to internal and external audit inquiries
  • Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives

  • This position is performed in an office environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
