This position supports an organization with enterprise-wide responsibilities for the development and support of applications. The position is on the Corporate Systems development team.
Build, maintain and enhance Web applications for retail systems
Integrate applications using a wide range of frontend and backend technologies
Responsible for the full software development lifecycle of projects including design, development, unit testing, system testing and deployment
Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement
Develop advanced SQL statements and procedural code on multiple database management systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2) supporting numerous end user devices; tasks include querying data, manipulating data, generating reports, and developing source code
Analyze data and solve business problems related to system capabilities
Ability to work in a team setting where you might need to ask and/or answer technical questions
Ability to prioritize tasks on your own
Position Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Java Frameworks/Technologies (Spring, SpringBoot, JMS, JPA, etc.)
Experience writing efficient SQL (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
Use of Issue and project tracking (JIRA, Bitbucket)
Ability to convey technical specifications in a business-friendly manner
Excellent communication, problem solving, and data analysis skills
Ability to grasp and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasks
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
3+ years of MIS and retail systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
Proven problem-solving and team building skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results driven
Possess excellent customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve goals
Ability to mentor team members as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)
This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Store Support Center Associates
Provide leadership and support training on all Safety programs, processes and procedures, ensuring that every associate is properly trained for their position.
Follow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position. This includes participating in all Safety related training and acquiring certifications. Each associate is responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations. All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.
