Senior Marketing Operations Manager

This is a broad role that includes collaboration across multiple teams, marketing platforms, and data projects. You will help our team identify funnel optimizations, select new technologies, improve data workflows, and make sure Marketing & Creative are meeting their deadlines with all the necessary information and process management they need to be successful. We are looking for a highly collaborative teammate who loves data, thinks strategically, and is energized by fast-paced environments.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • 5-7 years’ experience in an operations role, preference to marketing operations
  • 2 or more years in a supervisory capacity
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to direct both direct reports and contributors from other teams
  • A clear vision of technology trends and process improvement
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and data interpretation
  • Ability to strategize based on current and historical data
  • Experience with Workfront preferred
  • PMP or related certifications preferred
  • Proven success in change leadership

Essential Functions

  • Be the trusted subject matter expert on how internal systems work and relate to each other and manage, prioritize and respond to requests from merchandising, marketing and company leadership
  • Independently develop and refine effective workflow processes, scheduling strategies, and communication models
  • Own marketing departmental processes, making strategic decisions on behalf of senior leadership
  • Serve as primary system owner for Workfront, Marketing’s operational system of record
  • Team-first mentality, giving direction, coaching, and adapting with agility to both direct reports and indirect team members
  • Develop documented operational guidelines for marketing programs and work to ensure alignment among key stakeholders and assess/change as needed on a regular basis
  • Establish, own, and report on all departmental SOPs for digital, regional, creative, and content marketing
  • Work closely with senior leaders of the marketing department to ensure consistency, evaluate obstacles, and understand their needs and expectations
  • Oversee operations staff managing thousands of incoming creative projects with varying degrees of complexity including process and client expectations
  • Ensure all documents, forms and contracts of any kind related to the Creative team are completed, delivered and communicated in a timely manner
  • Manage all expense report and PTO approvals for Creative and Content teams
  • Manage, track, and evaluate all creative agency contracts, approvals, and negotiations including but not limited to selection of agencies and/or technology solutions
  • Manage Content/Creative annual budget assuring adherence to predicted spend and proactively accounting for discretionary spend
  • Maintain company trademarks and registrations

Working Conditions (travel & ENVIRONMENT)

  • Occasional travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
