Senior Manager Content Strategy

Purpose

As the Senior Manager Content Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy in partnership with the Sr. Dir. Content Strategy. This strategy should drive engagement, brand awareness, and conversion. You will lead a team of content managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute campaigns that align with the overall marketing and business strategies. With a keen eye for editorial angles, you can identify opportunities for content across the business, pitch them with ease, and influence the outcome of the conversation to keep brand and customer at the forefront of the project.
 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, or Journalism
  • 6+ years in content marketing or related field
  • Excellent strategic planning, writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
  • Proven experience in developing content and campaigns that drive engagement and revenue growth
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and use insights to optimize content strategy and tactics
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Experience in retail industry strongly preferred
  • Experience in SEO and digital marketing preferred

Essential Functions

  • Work with Sr Director of Content to map out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand
  • Oversee maintenance of content and campaign calendars, production schedules, and content guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all content mediums
  • Keep up with industry best practices and monitor competitor landscape, and audience behavior to inform strategy optimization
  • Manage content distribution strategy including social media, .com, email and in-store
  • Manage content budget including planning and forecasting
  • Build effective relationships with partners in merchandising, visual merchandising, ecommerce, and others
  • Measure and analyze the performance of content and campaigns and utilize data to inform strategy
  • Work closely with Sr. Manager Editorial Content to ensure alignment, consistency, and goals
