Senior Director of Talent

The Senior Director of Talent will lead the design and implementation of highly effective, results-driven recruiting, sourcing, retention and talent development strategies for the organization.  

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • 8+ years of Talent Management experience
  • 5+ years of vendor management experience and experience managing a budget
  • Experience with sourcing passive and active talent on social media and other platforms
  • Demonstrated ability implementing diversity and military talent sourcing initiatives
  • Experience developing and managing a compelling employment brand message
  • Experience coaching and developing a team of recruiting professionals
  • Technical expertise in a multitude of platforms, including Office, various ATSs and Workday
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills; process oriented, strategic thinker


  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Development
  • CDR and/or AIRS, LinkedIn certified

Essential Functions

  • Build and manage a team of individuals focused on the various aspects of Talent Management and Talent Acquisition
  • Identify and provide appropriate systematic tools and processes to ensure ease of use for hiring, including assessments, interview guides, etc.
  • Track and report out on performance metrics, including time to fill position, cost per hire, turnover cost, ROI for various recruiting tools, etc.
  • Effective management of Talent vendors
  • Oversee New Store Opening hiring process
  • Implement and drive Staffing, Recruiting, and Retention initiatives to meet goals, including developing social media recruitment strategy
  • Provide leadership for Company’s performance management process, including strategy development, process and tool design and communication
  • Develop and administer career pathing tools and processes
  • Develop and lead an Enterprise wide talent review process in order to calibrate performance and potential for the purposes of performance management, total rewards, determining bench strength, and succession planning and management
  • Develop and monitor employment brand
  • Ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with federal, state and local laws and company policies, including ensuring compliance with drug testing, background checks, I-9s and E-Verify
  • Manage Talent budget
  • Develop curriculum for Executive development, and some select Store support center functions
  • Partner closely with the field training organization in order to share best practices, gain synergies and avoid redundancy
  • Partner closely with Manager, broader HR team, Legal and all F&D leadership to gain their support, involvement, and acceptance of Talent processes

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
