Senior Digital Designer

Purpose:

As a key contributor on the Creative Team, the Sr. Digital Designer will be responsible for leading, developing and executing inspirational designs and experiences across digital channels. This individual will be responsible for maintaining creative consistency with brand standards as well as driving forward innovative visual designs. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative teammate whose energized by fast-paced environments.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media preferred (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • Three years of graphic design experience required
  • Ability to design for and understand campaigns across multiple channels
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Adobe XD
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to take complex ideas and translate them into visually engaging designs
  • Basic HTML (related to email design) and CSS
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Understanding of responsive design and mobile first design strategy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of CRM and personalization
  • Knowledge of project management systems specifically Adobe Workfront
  • Technical knowledge and the ability to work with eCommerce and agency partners to resolve graphics issues as they come up
  • Knowledge of table-based coding
  • Experience optimizing designs for usability and browser compatibility
  • Email design, development and deployment experience
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Essential Job Functions:

  • Produces digital design assets and experiences for advertising graphics and campaigns including, but not limited to email, social media, web and video
  • Mentors Jr Designers and provides prescriptive feedback of their work and encouraging breakthrough design
  • Creates high-quality digital assets that demonstrate an ability to balance design aesthetics with technical platform capabilities, limitations and other constraints
  • Translates UX specifications and business requirements into scalable designs
  • Maintains brand continuity across all projects and platforms
  • Develops new templates for web, social and email platforms using Adobe XD
  • Leads the design of responsive customer-facing email
  • Participates in brainstorming and ideation sessions
  • Creates motion graphics for multiple platforms
  • Presents creative concepts as proofs to Art Directors and in weekly creative reviews
  • Stays on top of emerging trends in interior design, flooring and emerging digital technologies and platforms
  • Develops relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Works with Operations Team to effectively manage workload
  • Take insights from analytics and testing and iterate creative accordingly

 Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
