Senior Business Intelligence Developer

PURPOSE

This position is responsible for developing and supporting business intelligence solutions, which includes understanding the needs of business stakeholders and translating those needs into enterprise reporting and any prerequisite data/ETL design, with attention to internal compliance controls always a top priority.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Subject matter expertise of IBM Cognos, Sisense, Tableau, PowerBI or other major enterprise reporting tools.
  • Frequent interaction and partnership with internal audit and other business teams to ensure that existing and new integrations between systems meet internal control standards
  • Collaboration with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes
  • Design, development and implementation of data reconciliation processes and reports across a complex landscape of systems
  • Design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management for development, enhancements and fixes related to enterprise reports and processes
  • Occasional interaction with external auditors, in partnership with internal audit
  • Design and development of complex SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Collaboration with ETL process owners to understand, design and implement data movements and integrations across a complex landscape of systems.
  • Ad-hoc data access and analysis to support business stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain reporting tool data and data/report security framework
  • Development and publication of relevant standard operating procedures and technical documentation
  • Management of user issues and ticketing system related to reporting/ETL problems
  • Prioritize multiple projects and tasks across different business units

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field of study (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • A solid understanding of key Business Intelligence trends
  • Prior experience with collaborative design and implementation of SOX/compliance controls
  • 5+ years of development experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Leadership skills to navigate project execution through all phases of the standard software development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with at least one business intelligence tool (IBM Cognos, Sisense, Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy, etc.), and the ability and eagerness to readily learn and use new tools
  • Advanced experience with at least one DB platform (e.g., SQL Server, DB2, Oracle or AS400/IBM iSeries) and hands-on experience writing complex SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with at least one ETL platform (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Informatica)
  • Experience using cloud computing to build applications in Azure and/or Snowflake is a plus
  • Experience with Python and working knowledge of its ecosystems is a plus.


WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week


PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Store Support Center Associates
Provide leadership and support training on all Safety programs, processes and procedures, insuring that every associate is properly trained for their position.
Follow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position. This includes participating in all Safety related training and acquiring certifications. Each associate is responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations. All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.
