Project Manager Internal Communications

PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the internal communications and events from inception to completion, including planning, scope, budget, schedule, timeline, milestones, resource planning and process improvements that support the communication needs of the company. The Project Manager, Internal Communications & Events will facilitate and drive brand-centric, relevant internal communications and event production enterprise-wide with flawless execution utilizing a myriad of avenues (email, SharePoint, video, live events, communication screens, etc.) to engage, inform and motivate associates to embrace company standards and achieve company growth through increased associate loyalty, increased productivity and profitability.  

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Advertising, English or Journalism (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education based on one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience enough to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Prior business communications/business writing experience
  • Develop and design presentations—primarily in PowerPoint—that advance key business objectives and tell the story through clean, concise, and well-organized slides
  • Must be able to interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics
  • Will distill clear messaging while incorporating smart visual solutions that make a difference at high-stakes meetings that affect major business decisions
  • Responsible to develop and maintain customized templates to ensure a consistent “look and feel” for the brand
  • Experience in marketing or advertising is preferred
  • Proven problem-solving, leadership and team building skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Partner with key business teams to extend the brand via seamless event execution and on-brand communications to deliver insights based on the voice of the company
  • Provide turnkey, end-to-end event planning/production and create/publish communications consistent with our brand
  • Negotiate/manage all aspects of communications and events to insure the prompt delivery of required messaging via suggested format
  • Determine efficiencies and manage to budget
  • Proactively research, vet and propose new ideas and technologies to achieve high engagement
  • Responsible for the content, look and voice of SharePoint home page, calendars and corporate communications
  • Strategically manage and execute daily, weekly, monthly, communications for entire organization
  • Provide central hub for all communications and events protecting the brand and its commitment to go ‘above and beyond’
  • Effectively lead team members and business partners, ensuring the highest of performance standards

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • Minimal travel required
  • The noise level in this environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
