Merchandising Data Analyst

Job Description:

PURPOSE

This position serves as a subject matter expert for the Master Data Management Center of Excellence (COE). The position will regularly interact with the Merchandising, Global Sourcing & Compliance, Supply Chain and eCommerce teams to ensure they understand and adopt functionality of F&D’s master data management platform. The Master Data Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of product and vendor data, analyzing system issues, identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, and assisting management in enforcing proper system governance.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

·    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field

·    3+ years of progressive work-related experience in business retail

  • Experience with Stibo STEP or other master data management software is a plus
  • Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) & relational databases

·    Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and to build strong working relationships using excellent verbal & written communication skills

·    Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

·    Willingness to work a flexible schedule

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·    Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to understand and improve key business processes.

  • Serve as subject matter expert and leader in supporting F&D’s Master Data Management COE, including design, development and configuration of workflow and business rules.
  • Define and govern operational processes related to taxonomy setup and attribute validations.
  • Plan and execute data collection/quality initiatives, including scheduled audits of existing data.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and other documentation to impacted stakeholders.
  • Prioritize, implement and advise merchandising leadership on MDM-related projects.
  • Develop, monitor and manage relevant and actionable scorecards to measure stakeholder responsiveness and to detect emerging issues and trends.
  • Mitigate both operational and system issues as they occur and propose appropriate enhancements to merchandising leadership.

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • This position is salaried and may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
