Merchandising Coordinator

Job Description:

PURPOSE
This position is responsible for supporting the assigned product groups on a daily basis to ensure product performs according to the financial goals of the company. Works closely with stores, Merchandising, Inventory and Logistics teams, vendors and other support groups on a regular basis to optimize the sales initiative for the assigned product and further enhance customer satisfaction.
 

  Merchandising

·  Responsible for ensuring merchandising standards are being followed per the Visual Standards Guide, and updating the guide in accordance with new or revised standards.

  • Works closely with the stores to ensure they have been provided clear instruction and required resources to effectively execute existing and revised visual standards.

   Capital Projects:

  • Responsible for partnering in the CPAR process with the Visual Merchandising Manager, Budget Planning.
  • Create timelines for executable rollouts by collaborating with multiple departments personnel and ensuring their timelines are met.

 
      Operations

  •    Manages project calendars by partnering with the Visual Merchandising Manager and the Project Manager supporting new and existing stores.
  • Create and manage a Project Request Form that ensures all due diligence is complete before passing on for next step of approval.
  •  Assists with the setup of new fixtures and prototypes at our product review center.
  • Creates and manages all Visual Merchandising Internal Communications. 
  • Partners with vendors to request all components need to execute project rollouts. 

Finance/Accounting
·    Partners with Visual Merchandising Manager, Budget Planning to ensure purchase order and invoice coding is accurate and tracks compliance to budget for all visual initiatives
 

Administration

  •      Recaps and communicates to responsible partners and department team, all updates on current and future projects.
  •      Responds to emails and calls with 24 hours
  •      Properly documents walks, meetings, and updates that are then communicated back, to ensure alignment of the goal. This will aid in proper and timely follow up of tasks.
  •      Develops executable timelines to complete projects and communicates these to the Visual Merchandising Manager.

It is a PLUS if a candidate has experience in Photoshop/ sketch up/ AC. 


MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in General Business or related field (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • One to four years in one or more of the following areas: purchasing, buying, merchandising, brand management, marketing, store operations or related field
  • Account management experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to advanced level Excel required)
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure


WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet.


PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
