Marketing Operations Manager

Purpose:

In this position, the Marketing Operations Manager analyzes existing data and information as well as historical trends to provide early insights into best practices and new trends that guarantee data quality across marketing metrics and operations. You will help our team identify funnel optimizations, manage technologies, improve data workflows, and make sure Marketing & Creative are meeting their deadlines with all the necessary information and process management they need to be successful. We are looking for a highly collaborative teammate who loves data, thinks strategically, and is energized by fast paced environments.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Operations Manager for a marketing agency or organization OR 5+ years in other operations capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or applicable work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of project management systems, Workfront experience strongly preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented
  • Proven ability to define, source, and interpret data
  • Agile development experience or PMP Certification strongly preferred

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be the trusted subject matter expert on how internal systems work and relate to each other and manage, prioritize, and respond to requests from merchandising, marketing, and company leadership
  • Independently develop and refine effective workflow processes, scheduling strategies, and communication models
  • Develop and manage various data models and analytics to report on productivity, resource capacity, common obstacles, and barriers to execution
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners at all levels of the organization to ensure consistency, evaluate obstacles, and understand their needs and expectations
  • Serve as primary system administrator for Workfront, Marketing’s operational system of record
  • Facilitate on-boarding and training for new Workfront users
  • Oversee and manage external production agency relationships, negotiation of contracts, and delivery of creative assets
  • Partner with indirect sourcing on contract negotiations, RFPs, and quarterly business reviews for all creative agencies
  • Partner with IT on all software licenses renewals and creative suite purchases
  • Own freelance and temporary employee budget for the marketing department
  • Partner with Marketing Finance Manager on tracking, coding, approving, and forecasting of budgetary needs for the content and creative team
  • Assist Sr. Manager Operations in sourcing and developing necessary tools and systems to optimize workflows
  • Lead post-mortem meetings in partnership with project managers with project participants to improve process and work outputs

 Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time,but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
