Manager, Talent and Performance Management

Purpose:

Manager of Talent and Performance Management will manage best in class talent and performance initiatives and programs that align with and drive a high-performance culture. This role will manage implementation and execution of performance management processes, communication, training and related technology systems.  In addition, this role is responsible to connect the best talent to the right opportunities by rolling out programs that grow the talent, identify the talent, and move the talent into the right seats.

Major Responsibilities

This position will manage the following:

  • Manage the E2E performance review process including planning, execution and analysis.  Elements comprise of process development, system set-up, communications, system/tool training, reporting and metrics.
  • Manage the talent review process to develop strategic plans to assess future talent needs, fill talent gaps, and to source high-potential individuals within the organization. Included is the development of talent management tools (9-box grids), facilitating calibration meetings, development of succession plans, and managing the process to develop talent actions plans.
  • Manage performance calibration sessions to ensure objective talent decisions are made in a fair and transparent manner
  • Manage the talent slates across corporate and field leadership.
  • Coach leaders on writing performance reviews and holding meaningful ongoing conversations with employees
  • Provide coaching and counsel to business leaders and HR partners on how to optimize and leverage all talent tools.
  • Manage F&D’s competency model to drive assessment and development of talent.
  • Look for continuous improvement of performance and talent process, proactive identification of trends /gaps, and manage improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage technology to drive identification of all talent by identification of mobility preferences, career aspirations, and associate potential.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Five years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Extensive working knowledge of performance management systems - experience with Workday’s performance management platform is a must.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills are a must- Ability to develop and deliver training materials at all levels within the organization
  • Proven problem-solving and team building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel. Must be data analysis savvy including knowledge of Excel pivot tables and performing advanced calcs in Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
  • Occasional travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time,but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
