Manager, Talent Acquisition

Floor & Decor is seeking to hire a Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead, develop, implement and measure enterprise wide strategies around employment branding, applicant tracking system (ATS) design and usage, candidate attraction, sourcing, recruiting, selection and hiring. The ideal candidate for this role is an expert level, high volume recruiter who knows how to hunt for diverse top talent, create proactive search strategies and effectively facilitate service level agreements with hiring managers.  The Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead all applicant tracking system efforts, including ensuring the most practical and user-friendly system design, reviewing ATS updates, testing new  enhancements before rollout, managing integrations with various partners and vendors, and providing ongoing training for new recruiters and ATS users.  The person in this role must be able to effectively and successfully lead and manage while also being the actual worker/doer of the work that gets done.  This is an individual contributor role (no direct reports) on the Talent Management Team reporting to the Director, Talent Management.  The person in this role will have regular interactions with the Talent Management Team, Diversity & Inclusion Team, Field HR Team, HR Operations Team, Compensation & Benefits Team, Workforce Management Team and Store and Regional Operations Teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop innovative and integrated solutions to source, attract, recruit and build pipelines of diverse talent to fill current and future roles.

  • Partner closely with VP, Diversity & Inclusion and the Diversity & Inclusion Task Force to ensure Floor & Decor has a comprehensive diversity and inclusion recruitment strategy.

  • Serve as ATS technical expert in fully understanding the system processes and usages, lead technical efforts in making system updates, ensuring appropriate integrations with external vendors and developing and delivering training and tools for corporate recruiters and 140+ store and divisional leaders .

  • Design strategies to improve enterprise wise applicant flow and local applicant flow for specific stores.

  • Build a scalable sourcing structure that includes the capability to proactively identify passive candidates. Create sourcing diverse sourcing partnerships that can provide veterans, women, young professional, retirees seeking to return to work and other diverse groups of talent.

  • In partnership with the marketing team, own, lead, oversee and ensure execution of ongoing relevant employment branding strategies on the Floor & Door Career Site and major social job boards to ensure company’s presence in attracting and generating a diverse talent pool for current and future roles.

  • Develop and lead comprehensive university relations strategy to include leading recruiting efforts for F&D internship program, participating in career fairs and building solid long-term partnerships with faculty and student interest groups.

  • Lead ongoing development and delivery of hiring manager and interviewer training and training guides/tools with the goal of improving the quality of the interview and selection process.

  • Partner with legal and create process and easy access repository for all third-party recruiter contracts. Facilitate and own the contract signing process with all third-party vendors.

  • Develop and execute strategies that deliver continuous improvement in recruitment and hiring practices. Stay up-to-date on innovative developments in workplace diversity and recruitment tools, best practices and how the recruiting team can best utilize these recruiting and networking resources.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.

  • 8+ years of high-volume recruiting experience to include professional, executive and hourly roles.  Recruiting experience in a retail environment a plus.

  • Must have exceptional technical expertise with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and extensive user knowledge to include ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, make processes improvements, implement new processes and test solutions.  Workday ATS experience a plus.  

  • Expertise in designing, implementing and measuring practical and innovative recruitment strategies with the ability to operate with a high-level of focus on scalability and flexibility to constant change.

  • Passionate about diversity hiring practices and ability to balance personal and varying perspectives with the ability to successfully identify, qualify, and engage diverse candidates at all skill levels. 

  • Experience creating recruitment dashboards to show progression and ROI metrics.

  • Knowledgeable of data sets, laws around data privacy and compliance and possesses the ability to maintain confidentiality while analyzing sensitive information.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced ambiguous work environment where processes and standards need to be created while the work gets done.  Ability to set priorities and effectively manage time and deliver appropriate solutions.

  • Excellent analytical skills, problem diagnosing and problem -skills with ability to learn, apply and communicate inclusive business concepts to a variety of audiences.

  • Strong change management and communication skills working across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.  Highly consultative and solid experience engaging and persuading leaders, including ability to guide discussions around complex issues.

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to synthesize information, make data-based decisions and implement effective measures to guide successful outcomes.

  • Exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

WORKING CONDITIONS (Travel, Hours, Environment):

  • This position is salaried and may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week.

  • Limited travel is required including air and car travel. Currently no travel and remote work through 12/31/2020.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
