Manager Human Resources - Customer Care

PURPOSE:

Provide Human Resource support to the Customer Care & Sample Fulfillment Centers; covering day to day operations related to HR functions. Also provides support for recruiting, onboarding, performance management and associate relations. This person is also instrumental in fostering an open-door culture and safe working environment. This associate will report to the HR Director.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years Human Resource Generalist experience. Call center environment a plus but not required
  • Firm knowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable law
  • Firm knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures
  • Firm knowledge of wage/hour laws
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Firm knowledge of staffing and employment practices
  • Recruiting experience is a plus
  • Ability to mentor, develop and motivate team members to the success of the center
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to problem solve while working under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources; certifications are a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new computer applications. Workday experience a plus

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

All function, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical, and professional manner and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures.

  • Serve as main advisor to management on employee relations and performance management issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws/regulations
  • Create and implement policies and procedures
  • Responsible for full lifecycle recruiting for Customer Care Center, Sample Fulfillment Center, and Product Review Center
  • Determine recruiting methods to fill candidate pipelines
  • Handle all candidate phone screens & scheduling of in-person interviews
  • Develop strategies on effective onboarding & offboarding; including new hire orientation
  • Manage F&D benefits programs for employees
  • Ensure compliance with government mandated programs; FMLA, WC, OSHA, etc.
  • Conduct employee investigations and oversee escalated employee issues
  • Ensure record keeping laws are followed
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned
  • Must be available to work evenings & weekends as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL & ENVIRONMENT)

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate (Care Center)
  • There may be times that you are exposed to a warehouse environment (Sample Fulfillment Center)

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
