Manager Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Description:

Purpose

This multi-functional position will be responsible for assisting with budget preparation and analysis, period reporting to both internal and external stakeholders and supplemental ad hoc analysis to help drive improved business performance.  This position will develop and maintain operating reports for senior management.  Financial statement reporting and analysis will also be required of this position, along with senior management reporting requests.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant experience can be substituted for the required education with a different Bachelor’s degree)
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Proven problem-solving and team building skills
  • Exempt level experience involving various financial planning and analysis duties
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions

  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Assist with budget/forecast preparation
  • Analyze actual to budget/forecast
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis
  • Assist with system implementation and/or conversion

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • Occasional travel may be required including air and/or car travel
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
