Logistics Analyst-West Coast

Purpose

The eCommerce Logistics Analyst is responsible for supporting and coordinating transportation for all web orders, including capacity selection, reverse logistics, routing and freight rates. This position will work cross-functionally with our Customer Care team, Domestic Supply Chain team, stores and 3rd party vendors.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or distribution

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Working knowledge of Transportation process and Supply Chain as a whole

  • Must be detail oriented and organized

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, think independently and work in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule and monitor shipments with carriers following routing guide criteria

  • Work as a liaison between warehouse, stores and carriers to solve any issues in order to meet customers’ expectations

  • Manages carriers to ensure accuracy with respect to rates, processes, and on time performance

  • Performs special projects related to transportation when needed

  • Communicate with customer and carriers via phone and email

  • Maintain accurate tracking and documentation in the transportation management system

  • Communicate shipment information regarding route changes, delays, or early deliveries to appropriate internal and external customers as needed

  • Source and identify the most efficient mode possible for orders needing additional attention

  • Assist the LTL billing specialist when needed

  • Perform other duties as directed or assigned

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • Occasional travel required including air and car travel

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
