Learning Facilitator

Purpose:

The Learning Facilitator is part of Floor and Decor’s Learning and Development Team. This person is responsible for designing and delivering effective training programs for our Customer Support Center & Care Center associates. A key requirement for this position is demonstrated experience with designing and facilitating training programs for contact centers. In addition to designing and facilitating training programs, a working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required.

The Learning Facilitator will conduct research and analysis to select the most appropriate learning strategies, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience. The incumbent applies proven instructional design techniques to develop effective lesson plans for each learning initiative and has responsibility for the overall design and delivery for each learning solution.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a training function providing instructional design services, facilitating training programs for a decentralized workforce.
  • Experience with multimedia and e-learning tools such as Adobe, Captivate, Articulate, Storyline/360, and GoAnimate.
  • Working knowledge and application of Learning Management Systems (Workday, Conerstore, Success Factors, etc.).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and deliver instructor-led training programs for our contact center support team (Customer Care Center).
  • Partner with key business stakeholders, collaboratively addressing strategic workforce development needs and creating optimal learning solutions for our employees
  • Leverage company’s on-line training courses using innovative multimedia tools and resources
  • Create job aids, manual, simulations, case studies, and role play scenarios to achieve desired learning objectives
  • Facilitate virtual training classes using distant learning platforms
  • Produce training schedules and agendas
  • Develop training material via screen capture, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
  • Oversees Quality strategies including projects, processes, procedures, systems, scorecards, and performance metrics related to the Contact Center
  • Determine course content according to business objectives
  • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
  • Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed
  • Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
  • Observe and evaluate results of training programs
  • Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements Requirements
  • Ensuring learning effectiveness for associates by testing and assessments.

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Travel – approximately 20% of the job will require travel to stores and regional training events.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and

       moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderately quiet.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
