Lead Developer

Purpose

This position is responsible for technical maintenance, support of Manhattan’s Integration Framework built on WebMethods that integrates a plethora of applications (WMS, TMS, OMS, and home-grown applications).

Major Responsibilities

The individual who fills this position should have solid WebMethods v9.12 & 10.x and up development, deployment and migration skills. The required skills/experience includes:

  • Work with the application designer to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution by
    • defining the flow of data between the applications that must be integrated
    • map business process activities to the applications that support them, and
    • draft a data object model that provides a common structure for mapping the data between the applications.
  • Ability to work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes.
  • Ability to create high-level and low-level design to help the team build the solutions.
  • Analyze data and solve new and existing business issues.
  • Work concurrently on multiple projects and tasks across different business units.
  • Assess the impact of the integration requirements to the technical architecture and specify the integration service requirements.
  • Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, are within the project scope, and are internally consistent.
  • Validate that the integration solution and integration architecture designs utilize the integration architecture components appropriately
  • Participate in code reviews and unit test execution review.
  • Provide a roadmap for upgrading WebMethods and fine tuning the WebMethods application/infrastructure for optimum performance
  • and capacity planning to ensure efficient use of system resources

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Experience in WebMethods 9.X
  • Extensive development experience using Software AG"s WebMethods Developer and WebMethods flow language. 
  • Demonstrated integration development experience using web services, XML documents
  • Working knowledge on Flatfile processing.
  • Working Knowledge of MS SQL Server, and/or Oracle relational databases configuration. 
  • Working Knowledge on Adapters like JDBC Adapters
  • Working knowledge on Designer.
  • Experience in integrations with Mahnattan Applications is added advantage.
  • Manhattan Integration Framework knowledge is a plus.
  • Java knowledge to write custom utilities is a plus.

Working Conditions (Travel, Hours, Environment)

This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week. Occasional travel may be required including air and car travel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
