Purpose

The Kitchen and Bath Sales Consultant is responsible for driving Custom Countertop sales for Floor and Decor by obtaining and closing countertop sales. Additionally, the Kitchen and Bath Sale Consultant ensures customers have a positive sales experience by receiving exceptional customer service through services provided both internally and externally in relation to this program.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two (2) years of sales, design or project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company and minimum of one (1) year of retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of countertop installation, fabrication or kitchen remodels is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Proficient in basic mathematical skills and computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Willing to work retail hours
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Essential Job Functions

  • Daily performs Quick Quote Estimates for customers and convert leads to sales.
  • Daily solicits and closes sales by making phone calls to follow up and convert leads generated through proprietary Quick Quote Estimate tool.
  • Daily order management with customers and multiple internal and external partners to address order questions, resolve issues and facilitate the order process in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills. Able to consistently manage, follow up, and track information to close sales and projects and provide program feedback.
  • Responsible for understanding, utilizing, and managing Floor & Decor applications i.e.; Proprietary Orders Portal, Quick Quote Estimator, POS system.
  • Responsible for collecting customer payment, finalizing sales, tracking the appropriate paperwork and closing and delivering completed sales.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating sample replenishment to Vendors for both stores and Product Review Center. Assists with creating, tracking and closing purchase orders for product for new stores or assortment changes for existing stores.
    • Attend conference calls and training sessions to relay information to store teams.
    • Maintain consistent communication with store teams to support company goals.
    • Meet and exceed established goals.

Working Conditions (travel, environment)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a secure, office space to contain customer information.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.  The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
