Visual Merchandising Coordinator

Purpose:

The Visual Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for supporting the VM Manager daily to ensure the conceptualization, development, communication, and implementation of the comprehensive visual merchandising components are in accordance with the standards of Floor & Decor (F&D) stores. The position requires the ability to drive cross-functional engagements and partnerships to ensure a 360-degree approach to all visual merchandising initiatives, collaboration with the NSVM Project Management team for fixture compatibility, Merchant/Buying team for visioning of product marketing, Creative/Marketing team for branding consistency and signage creation, as well as the Operations/Safety team to ensure the execution and safety standards are met.
 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in General Business or related field (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • One to two years in one or more of the following areas: purchasing, buying, merchandising, brand management, marketing, store operations or related field
  • Account management experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to advanced level Excel required)
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work closely with the stores to ensure they are providing valuable feedback and direction by supporting their calls and requests
  • Support assigned manager according to the financial goals and objectives of the company
  • Ensure that all project details. supplier documentation, and project installation guides are complete and on file with required departments within the company
  • Responsible for timely and accurate data entry of purchase orders, Workfront tickets, project tracking details.
  • Partners with the Regional Merchandising Teams, Store CEM’s, and Project Managers and field team for NSVM, to ensure high quality execution of visual ideas through providing vision and tools, creating communications (Internal Communication), training content, and performing audits.
  • Properly tracks personal expenses and codes appropriately, on time, and within SOP guidelines
  • Responsible for keeping the Visual Standards Guide up-to-date and available for store access to reference through collaboration with the Merchant/Buyer group, Operations/Safety, Merch Ops, NSVM, Creative, and PRO Team Projects.
  • Documents walks, meetings, and updates that are then communicated back to the VM Manager, to ensure alignment of the goal. This will aid in proper and timely follow-up of tasks.
  • Recaps and communicates to responsible partners and department team, all updates on current and future projects.
  • Responds to emails and calls with 24 hours.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
