Email & Mobile Marketing Manager

Purpose:

Floor & Decor is seeking a Email & Mobile Marketing Manager to lead strategy and innovation to drive strong business results via Floor & Decor digital communication programs including email, text/SMS and app push messaging. They will be responsible for overall strategy of the one to one messaging program, including both marketing and transactional elements.

Responsibilities include 1-to-1 (email, text/SMS, push) strategy, segmentation & personalization, testing and optimization. The ideal candidate will come from a retail background with extensive email program management experience and a passion for digital marketing through email and content. The Email & Mobile Marketing Manager is responsible for building short- and long- term revenue via Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) as well as improving customer experience, in partnership with the Email Marketing Specialist. They will manage the relationship with our 1-to-1 (email, text/SMS, push) marketing agency to ensure they are delivering on goals and bringing our program to next level. This position will align closely with the CRM, creative, and content teams to bring relevant messaging to customers throughout their shopping journey at scale.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience in retail with a proven track record in driving customer acquisition and revenue growth

  • Experience in developing strategies for segmentation, automation and loyalty communication and executing at the tactical level

  • Experience in managing customer communications and transactional messaging, including order communications, etc.

  • Able to work independently with a passion for creative problem solving and extracting insights from data to drive performance

  • Strong understanding of up-to-date marketing and email, text/SMS, and push communication strategies and best practices around permission-based marketing, deliverability, personalization, segmentation and SPAM, including CAN-SPAM laws and all regulations including CCPA compliance

  • Agency background or experience managing an agency preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud strongly preferred

  • Experience with Tealium preferred

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead the strategy & optimization of the email marketing + mobile (text/SMS, push) messaging program to drive revenue growth and channel effectiveness while maintaining a focus on customer experience, compliance and brand health

  • Utilize CRM and other 1st party customer data to identify opportunities for segmentation, personalization, and journey building within all communications

  • Captain the development of a comprehensive messaging program inclusive of email, SMS/text, and app notifications for homeowner and pro customers

  • Create workflows and processes in support of strategies to concisely communicate approach and goals

  • Utilize best practices, campaign analysis tools, and hypothesis testing to continually improve campaign performance and consistently communicate results and learnings to  cross-team stakeholders

  • Assist in the implementation of dynamic content within email creative to drive personalization at scale, utilizing available tools including a customer data platform (CDP), digital asset management system (DAM), and Salesforce Marketing Cloud

  • Analyze and report on program performance metrics (including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and program revenue

  • Collaborate across the organization to develop strategies that serve the business overall as well as key stakeholders including ecommerce, design services and PRO services

  • Explore opportunities to better support and empower the field as part of a store-focused organization

  • Partner with email agency to maximize benefit from existing tech stack and capabilities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and recommend third-party partners or vendors where necessary to expand Floor & Decor’s marketing and CRM strategy

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
