Ecommerce Operations Manager

Purpose:

Do you love technical troubleshooting and problem solving? If so, this position is for you. This position is part developer, part QA and all detective. Using your technical knowledge, you will be responsible for investigating and determining the root causes of user reported issues on the website and working with the Production Team to determine the correct course of action for resolution. Additionally, this position will be working with the QA Analyst to propose and implement new and efficient test cases and debugging methods stemming from these issues. Finally, this position will take ownership of some of the day-to-day tasks that are required of our team.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Communications or related fields OR practical, real life equivalent experience
  • 2+ years website technical experience (front-end and back-end development, architecture, technical administration, support)
  • Familiarity with common website building languages, frameworks, platforms and libraries (HTML, CSS, SOAP, REST, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, JQuery), Bootstrap, etc)
  • Ability to clearly breakdown and communicate complex technical issues to Developers and Stakeholders and Product Owners
  • A love of troubleshooting along with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A strong attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience or familiarity with Demandware/Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Must be able to handle issues that arise with minimal oversight or guidelines and work under pressure
  • Understanding and practical experience working with website networking (SSL Certs, DNS Records, CNAMES, A Records, etc.)
  • Experience with website monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide application-wide (aka website... including integrations to external systems) validation and troubleshooting of issues as they arise
  • Perform analysis of alerts/errors in logs to determine impact, recommend steps to mitigate impact and work with the Delivery Team to determine best-fit resource for resolution
  • Work with the QA Analyst to develop test cases for identified issues
  • Document findings of all issues
  • Proactive monitoring of the various systems and application logs for errors and issues, especially those that are related to website speed and performance
  • Weekly reporting of website operational status
  • Work with Website Production Manager and Scrum Master to track issues and their resolutions
  • Become a subject matter expert on the existing website stack and the underlying business rules
  • Account setups for Salesforce Account Manager and Commerce Cloud
  • Assistance with evidence gathering for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
