eCommerce Merchandiser

The eCommerce Merchandiser focuses on the upload and maintenance of product information on Responsibilities will include categorization and merchandising, executing merchandising initiatives within Salesforce Business Manager and partnering with Merchants to ensure products online are positioned for optimal conversion both online and in stores.   

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, eCommerce, Marketing, Communication or related field required
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Merchandising and Ecommerce
  • eCommerce Marketing experience is a plus
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and knowledge of information technology and data feeds.
  • Experienced in project planning and project management.
  • Experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus
  • Excellent written and graphic communication skills (ie. grammar, formatting)
  • Microsoft Office & familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Ability to grow and evolve as the fast-paced eCommerce industry continues to progress
  • Ability to learn quickly; positive attitude; excellent time management; attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cross functionally with a team to execute tasks and projects and achieve desired results
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills

Essential Functions

  • Execute online product creation and online merchandising efforts such as product categorization, search strategies and product content, etc. for assigned categories
  • Coordinates category specific initiatives in partnership with Merchant support team in an effort to drive revenue
  • Assists in larger site merchandising executions
  • Manages the product data upload process for assigned categories
  • Executes product data review and updates daily for assigned categories
  • Maintain, track and update product images and additional content, updates as necessary
  • Review online products pages and alert the team to any data or image discrepancies
  • Maintains correct product assortment and adjusts weekly
  • Updates the assortment weekly by removing products at the end of their lifecycle
  • Executes Search Strategies to ensure right products are shown for the correct terms
  • Constantly reviews site for accuracy
  • QA’s Merchandising tasks in staging
  • Attend meetings with buyers to understand key merchandising strategies, opportunities and recommendations for improvement
  • Constantly work to ensure consistency and optimal digital experiences in both the desktop and mobile shopping channels as well as overall connected customer initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by Online Merchant or other members of Ecommerce team pertinent to the business

Working Conditions (travel, environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
