Ecommerce Analytics Manager

Purpose:

This position will be responsible for leading the analytics strategy and execution for flooranddecor.com.  Areas of responsibility will include the full breadth of eCommerce initiatives, from traffic generation to onsite experience optimization to fulfillment to post-purchase.  This person will be a key contributor to the success of our digital commerce, working cross-functionally with web development, online merchandising, digital marketing & customer insights teams to help FND deliver a best-in-class eCommerce experience.  The right person for this role is results-driven and possesses both an exceptional analytics background as well as a proven business leadership skillset.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant web analytics experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Subject matter expert in web analytics and advanced knowledge of Google or Adobe Analytics
  • Successful track record managing direct reports
  • Experience with website personalization strategy strongly preferred
  • Expertise with BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau, from data transformation & modeling to creating measures to data visualization & insights.  Proficiency in DAX or an equivalent language
  • Proficiency in SQL strongly preferred, knowledge of R a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics
  • Experience with CRM or customer data platforms a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic business outcomes, with a structured and data-driven approach to business problem solving
  • Must be highly analytical, enjoy working with data, and be able to provide data-driven rationale for new projects & initiatives
  • Strong communication skills required:  the ability to translate the data side into an accurate and action-oriented narrative for stakeholder and executive audiences
  • Must be able to work independently as well as cross functionally with multiple teams, from leading the strategy to execution to success measurement
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and the ability to prioritize efficiently

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with web development & online marketing teams on continuous web optimization initiatives
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities and provide recommendations based on self-led ad hoc analysis
  • Clearly & concisely present analysis conclusions and recommended actions to business leaders and executive audiences
  • Advance our ability to analyze web traffic by bridging online/offline data gaps
  • Quickly become the subject matter expert / thought leader in our eCommerce data ecosystem and how to best leverage its value
  • Share responsibility for the strategy & execution of an established, successful A/B testing program
  • Help expand website personalization efforts with strategic customer segmentation analyses & insights
  • Collaborate with eCommerce, Marketing & IT to help make customer experiences more seamless across digital channels
  • Lead strategic technology evaluation to enable more sophisticated analytics capabilities.
  • Support business stakeholders’ self-service data needs with insightful reports & dashboards as needed.
  • Enhance existing dashboards with new capabilities and actionable visualization.
  • Lead and help maintain site tagging efforts.  Enhance our measurement & analysis capabilities via thoughtful tagging strategy.
  • Determine strategy for future data enrichment opportunities.
  • Monitor and ensure integrity of website data.

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

STORE SUPPORT CENTER ASSOCIATES

Follow established Safety procedures in all aspects of work assignments applicable to the position.  This includes participating in all Safety related training and acquiring certifications.  Each associate is responsible for Safety at the Store Support Center and when visiting other company work locations.  All Safety concerns must be brought to the attention of the management of a location and/or the Store Support Center Safety Department immediately.
