Supply Chain Developer I
Purpose
This position is responsible for developing and supporting capabilities for Supply chain solutions and Supply-Chain Reporting related applications.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
- 1-3 years of development and System configuration & implementation experience required to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Experience with Supply Chain industry applications such as OMS/WMS/TMS with backend development and configuration knowledge
- Knowledge in any Manhattan Associates software products or knowledge of similar supply chain software products from other software vendors is an added advantage
- Experience with SQL (oracle) and XML/XSL syntax
- Experience with Reporting tools is a plus (Cognos, Jasper).
- Experience in any test management and change management software such as qTest (Test Case management tool) and Service Now (Help Desk Software).
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Experience in basic Linux commands
- Programming languages/protocols skills/knowledge (Java, Phython, Pearl, Shell script) is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency with one or more technology environments and the ability to readily learn and apply new and emerging concepts
- Excellent communication, problem solving and data analysis skills
- Excellent decision-making skills
- Identifies risks and issues and escalates as necessary. Researches and document recommendation or solutions for upgrades, improvements, issue resolution to ensure a stable, available and protected technical infrastructure.
- Integration development and knowledge in IBM web methods or similar integration technologies is a plus.
- High level of customer service
Essential Functions
- Provides functional and technical support of TMS/OMS/WMS system(s). Serves as primary source for tier2/ tier 3 technical advice, guidance to F&D logistics operations in the utilization of TMS/OME/WMS systems and components.
- Responsible for the full software development lifecycle for enhancements and fixes including design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management with supervision.
- Manage user issues and ticketing system related to application problems
- Identifies risks and issues and escalates as necessary. Researches and document recommendation or solutions for upgrades, improvements, issue resolution to ensure a stable, available and protected technical infrastructure.
- Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement
- Develop advanced SQL statements and procedural code on multiple database management systems
(e.g., SQL Server and Oracle). Tasks include querying data, manipulating data, generating reports, etc.
- Work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting
existing processes.
- Analyze data and solve new and existing business issues.
- Work concurrently on multiple projects and tasks across different business units.
Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)
- This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
- This job typically doesn’t need travel but occasional travel may be required including air and car travel for attending training, conferences or Store / Warehouse visits.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
