Project Analyst, Customer Delivery

Purpose

The Customer Delivery Project Analyst will be responsible for the major aspects of the Customer Delivery program. The Customer Delivery Project Analyst will be responsible for the operations of all customer deliveries. This position will be responsible for the customer delivery carrier base including but not limited to carrier vetting and contract management. The Customer Delivery Project Analyst will participate in all rate negotiations as well as make on the spot financial decisions. The Customer Delivery Project Analyst position will be required to create, maintain and implement Service Level Agreements as well as Standard Operating Procedures. This position will play a pivotal role in making the Customer Delivery program successful

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  •  Three years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Proven problem-solving and team building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Has expert level experience involving various operational positions
  • Experience managing high volumes
  • Working knowledge of logistics processes and Supply Chain as a whole.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to create detailed reporting and capture KPIs

Essential Job Functions

Supply Chain

  • Carrier Management in many facets including but not limited to
  • Sourcing, vetting, auditing and selection
  • Contract and Insurance management
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews
  • Optimize carrier utilization, routing and deployment
  • Rate negotiation
  • Develop and implement Service Level Agreements
  • Use six sigma methodology to explain carrier selection and rate agreements
  • Operations management
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures for Customer Delivery carriers
  • Create and implement training tools for F&D business units as well as F&D carriers
  • Work as liaison between warehouse, stores, e-commerce and carriers to solve any issues meeting customer delivery
  • Recognized areas for improvement and implement new processes or improvements for Customer Delivery efficiency
  • Understand market volumes to determine what type and how many pieces of equipment are needed. Be able to provide financial backing to reasoning
  • Create, maintain and provide reporting for management team
  • Exercise sound judgement to make on the spot financial decisions on behalf of Floor & Decor in order to meet customers’ expectations

Working Conditions (travel,   environment)

  • Some travel required, including air and car travel

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
