Purpose:

Responsible for greeting customers and protecting the assets of the company by verifying all merchandise entering and exiting the building has been paid for. Correcting all discrepancies immediately and notifying the manager on duty of all discrepancies.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of retail sales, loss prevention or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner as they enter and exit the store
  • Engage customers and direct them to appropriate sales department as needed
  • Check all customer receipts for product purchased verifying SKU accuracy, and
  • Log all discrepancies on Control Log for review by Chief Executive Merchant
  • Tag all returns entering back into the building with appropriate sticker
  • Immediately alert appropriate store management to any receipt discrepancies while the customer is still in the store and ensure ticket has been corrected prior to customer leaving the store
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned

Working Conditions :

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with customers and other associates

  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Computer usage
  • Frequent standing
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
