Purpose:

  • This position will be responsible for leading the analytics strategy surrounding our CRM program to improve our connected customer experience.  This person will work cross-functionally with marketing & customer insights teams to help FND better understand our customers and partner with business stakeholders on revenue-driving CRM initiatives.  The right person for this critical role will need to be both an analytics/business intelligence superstar as well as an effective storyteller capable of presenting to senior leadership.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Statistics, Computer Science or Marketing (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise CRM solution; Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing strategy & execution preferred.
  • Expertise with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau required:  from data modeling & transformation to front-end data visualization & dashboards.
  • Proficiency in SQL strongly preferred; knowledge of R a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic business outcomes, with a structured and data driven approach to business problem solving.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics.
  • Must be highly analytical, enjoy working with data, and be able to provide data-driven rationale for new projects & initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills required:  the ability to translate the data side into an accurate and action-oriented narrative for stakeholder and executive audiences.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as cross functionally with multiple teams, from leading the strategy to execution to success measurement.
  • Experience with Google Analytics & expertise in web analytics a plus.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal integrity, humility, and an appreciation for the power of true teamwork.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with CRM marketing team to lead analytics strategy & execution, leading directly & measurably to improved campaign performance and incremental conversions/revenue.
  • Quickly become subject matter expert in our CRM data and how to best leverage its value, including performing cross-channel analyses from multiple data platforms and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Proactively identify strategic opportunities & provide recommendations based on ad hoc data mining of CRM ecosystem.
  • Perform data analysis and establish reporting to support decision-making across the company (e.g. marketing, ecommerce, store ops, merchandising, & customer care).
  • Partner with IT & Marketing to help improve, manage, and monitor controls for CRM data integrity.
  • Establish & lead self-serve reporting/analysis strategy.
  • Become a thought leader in how to measure our customers’ experiences with our brand.
  • Support cross-functional stakeholders by leading measurement strategy, KPI selection, and methodology to determine incremental value.
  • Implement, organize & maintain customer data tracking across all channels.
  • Become a customer data advocate/evangelist across the company.  Train & guide various business units in how they can gain value from our data
  • Perform regular gap analyses on our customer data ecosystem, including implementing best practices and programs to improve data collection.
  • Working Conditions (travel & environment)
  • Limited travel required including air and car

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
