Commercial Sales Training Manager

Purpose:

The Training Manger will play a key role in establishing Learning and Development programs for the Commercial Sales group.  Seeking creative teacher/mentor to design and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize development opportunities for the sales team.  Additionally, participate in building and maintaining relationships with hiring managers to help develop recruitment programs to attract, identify and source qualified candidates based upon recruitment needs, job duties, qualifications and skill levels.

The ideal candidate will have strong business experience within a sales organization with customer responsibility and preferably with flooring product knowledge (i.e. lvt, tile, setting materials, etc.) coupled with experience in a learning and training environment to include analysis, design, build, delivery, evaluation and events management with a range of training programs for sales-based organizations. 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • Project management expertise, ideally with experience in rolling out sales-based training plans, including all training logistics and budgets
  • Experience researching new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning
  • 5+ years of sales training and recruiting experience
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality is critical
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment with ownership of responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Sales Talent Acquisition;

  • Participate in the recruitment activities associated candidate identification
  • Record and report talent acquisition metrics; utilize metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement
  • Responsible for initial WorkDay related activities involved in the process

Sales Talent Onboarding;

  • Instrumental in the onboarding process of newly hired sales associates
  • Day-to-day management and delivery of the learning development programs for new hires

Sales Talent Development & Training;

  • Responding to training requests from sales team and providing training solutions
  • Create and implement learning and development programs
  • Respond to field-based requests for assistance in providing additional training assistance on an as-needed basis

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Occasional travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
