Commercial Sales Specialist

Purpose:

This position reports to the Sr. Director of Commercial Sales with a dotted line to the Sr. Manager of the Commercial Support Center. This position is responsible for sourcing new leads, opportunities and clients for Regional Commercial Account Managers (RAMs) in partnership with the Commercial Support Center and PRO Service teams, along with other prospecting programs. Responsibilities include prospecting for new RAM clients by utilizing various lead generation platforms, lists, and current salesforce customer data base. Also, in partnering with PRO and Design teams in stores to source leads, qualifying potential RAMs clients and setting appointments for RAMs to meet with potential clients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prospecting for new RAM opportunities utilizing lead generation platforms, lead lists, and Salesforce data base of current prospects and contacts.
  • Prospecting in local market for other opportunities and sources for leads. Could include networking both in person and virtually.
  • Prospecting when applicable for new RAM leads from PRO Service and Design teams
  • Qualifying leads by conducting initial touch base with potential clients
  • Schedule meetings for new clients and RAMs
  • Communicate final results of lead generation activities to stores and regional teams
  • Develop success tracking and report out.
  • Utilizing various digital platforms for meetings, events, shows, and conferences to lead generate, set appointments, and communicate.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Lead source platforms and or relevant lead sourcing experience is a plus. For example, Dodge Data or Construction Monitor.
  • Strong digital and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as various online video meeting and collaboration applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions (Travel & Environment):

  • Limited travel required by air and car
  • Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
