Content Marketing Manager

Purpose

The Content Marketing Manager will serve as a lead editor and overseeing content strategy through to execution. This person will play a key role in campaign strategy to drive revenue and build brand recognition. The Content Marketing Manager will manage content strategists as well as drive customer acquisition, engagement, and loyalty using carefully crafted content. They will work closely with other members of the marketing team and internal partners to develop and distribute the right content to prospects and customers at various points in their journey.
 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, or Journalism
  • 4+ years of marketing or otherwise relevant work experience
  • Excellent strategic planning, writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass pre-employment background check

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with internal partners to devise content strategies and develop content that aligns with campaign, brand, and product goals
  • Develop content editorial calendar encompassing videos, blogs, web, and in-store content
  • Work with Sr. Videographer to develop new and interesting video concepts
  • Keep up with industry best practices and monitor competitor content
  • Manage content channel strategy to ensure we are making our content work harder for us and meet the needs of our customers
  • Ensure quality, clarity, and consistency of content
  • In partnership with marketing copywriter, develop and edit compelling written content
  • Collaborate with brand and product managers to create concepts
  • This role requires a brand publisher mindset: they create the content our audience is looking for and optimize it for individual channels and goals
  • Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
  • Work with Director of Content to determine monthly and quarterly content campaigns and themes

Working Conditions (travel, hours, environment)

  • Limited travel required including air and car travel

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
